
Nicole Huffman is a policy analyst for the Texas Conservative Research Institute. She is a native Texan who received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating in 1998, Nicole went on to pursue a law degree at Rutgers Law- Newark before returning home and earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law. As a first-year law student at Rutgers, Nicole was a legal assistant for the Rutgers Criminal Law Clinic as well as a student intern for the Newark Public Defender’s Office. While attending The University of Texas School of Law, she served as a student law clerk for the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. Upon graduating from law school in 2001, she was a Texas Right to Life junior lobbyist during the 2005 79th Legislative Regular Session; a legal data analysts in the area of US DOJ and SEC investigations into private Mergers & Acquisitions and IPOs; and she conducted and presented psychology academic research presentations regarding the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and neurobiological developmental trauma on adult health outcomes. She currently serves the community through her volunteer work as an advocate for awareness and prevention of childhood abuse and family violence and she writes and publishes Bible Studies about the Nature of Christ and Marriage, Divorce, Remarriage, and Reconciliation from a Biblical Perspective.
